Lingua Amoris is finally finished
Our film “Lingua Amoris” is finally finished after five years of work! – And the trailer has now been released.
The film shows in 108 minutes that love is both individual and universal at the same time. It shows lived diversity and not only dispels prejudices about gender relations and sexism in different corners of the world, but also touches on current issues, such as the war in Ukraine. The film is an ode to love and a declaration of love for filmmaking. Film sets, the madness and confusion of film production and the excitement before the premiere are also part of the film.
Lingua Amoris was created in a series of (parallel and successive) film projects in Germany, Ukraine, Rwanda, France, Spain, Morocco and Pakistan. The project was initiated by the ABC Bildungs- und Tagungszentrum, Hüller Medienwerkstatt and DirectorsCut.ch. A total of 200 people from three continents worked together on the project. The nature of the co-productions and cooperation partners are as diverse as the film itself. They range from amateur actors in France, to queer film activists in Barcelona, to the Rwanda Cinema Center, with whom we had already worked on “Adamstown”, to members of the Pakistani production team of the Cannes hit “Joyland”.
We have submitted Lingua Amoris to various film festivals. Now we have to keep our fingers crossed.
